Good grief - I chust found out today I'll be crossing the continental divide at some 12,000 ft in altutude! My cuz said to stop & take in the view. I'm thinking of stopping and sucking on an oxygen bottle - just so's I can catch my breath! I'm thinking of stopping and baking a cake at 12K feet to see how much longer that takes.

Not only that, I'll be driving through Loveland sometime Sun nite - the headquarters of the RPA, no less. Judy noted they're taking down all identifying signs and drawing the shades. Just keep moving, she said - man, talk about western hospitality! You'd think I was a bad man in the bad lands(G).

After checking my Peterson's Field Guide To Western Birds I regret to inform you that you may have misidentified this specimen.
I believe it may be a Black-eared Bushtit; a juvenile male example in summer plummage.
