my circulator is mounted just before and pumps into the boiler. Coming out of the boiler on top is my air scoop and expansion tank going out to the supply. tell me how i can more efficiently arrange this order to get top efficiency please?0 -

Pumping away...
Are you having problems keeping air out of your system? If you aren't why bother for now? It's not going to change anything for you (fuel usage or comfort). My boiler is piped the same as yours except it had a conventional tank (with any air-trol type fittings). Air was sneaking out of that tank all of the time and making its way to the upstairs branches. I hung a bladder tank where the conventional tank branched off and placed an auto air vent on a riser to the water make up system before the circulator. My late fall tradition of running around bleeding every rad vent is now a memory.0 -
I agree with Uni R. My boiler is piped the same way, but has not caused any problems. Unless you are experiencing recurring air bound issues and/or noisy pipes then why change it. You will not gain any efficiency from the change.0 -
