we have 50+ installed, the only problem we have encounterd
was one with screws missing from behind digdital display
that would not allow contractor to get mode button to
function. other than than that everyone including end user
has been very pleased.0 -

With an Alum. block boiler water treatment is very important. You want a Ph of 8. Its in the WM book. Best Wishes J.Lockard0 -

Ultra's --Me Too!
I just installed two Ultra's this week, and both of them were missing the screws to hold the digital display in place. Also had the rubber caps missing for the interface connection, and one was tagged as being converted to LP gas, but it wasn't. Seems the new plant in NC has a bit of room for final inspection improvement.0 -
Noticed
That the sound baffle on the intake was a little cheap looking and basically was held in place by a plastic clip which was broken out of the box. I guess these things happen, but I think that the manufacturer need to place more quality control on the product that does out the door.0 -
The door gasketing could
use a lot of improvement. The Munchkins taught me that a tight seal, when pulling combustion air through the cabinet, is critical. Others have learned the same lesson when installed in dusty enviroments. Ag installations, for sure! They are what they breath!
Some of the Ultra gasket sticks to the case, some to the cover, some rips and falls to the floor.. Poor choice of gasketing.
I suggest a rubber bulb type gasket like on car doors.
I'm currious to see how the Lochinvar Knight likes having that air connected directly to the inducer fan inlet. They solve the issue of sealing the case that way, but I'm concerned bugs and insects will take the death plunge into that fan.
I've seen Voyagers suck lightening bugs to the point of plugging all the holes in the burner. Essentially these things are vacumn cleaners on the intake side
