burners for sgo-4 weil-mclain

Riello, Becket, Carlin

In that order. All are good, but the Riello is Great.

We have had some problems with float type LWCOs in the past few years. Manufacturing quality has gone down. Where the floats would last for years, now they are either dead out of the box, or fail in short order.

We use the probe types from MM, and the VXT one from the blue company whose name escapes me at the moment.

    burners for sgo-4 weil-mclain

I have oil-fired steam and need a new system. EDR meaurements calculate capacity approx 46,000.
Contractors have both recommended Weil-mclain sgo-4 boilers, but with different burners. Which has better track record- Carlin, Beckett, or Riello? which is quieter?
Does it not make a difference?
While you're here-does it make a difference to have a float or a probe water guage? Is one better than the other?
Thanks, I've been learning a lot on the Wall. ja

    Burners

Each of the big three are good burners, so it is really a matter of choosing what your service company is comfortable with. They are the ones who will have to set it up properly, and deal with it should any problems arise.

the riello is the way to go.

Carlin runs as good as Riello and everyone has parts for Carlin. Becketts are a waste in my opinion.
