Burnham Boiler product numbers

Ok, I took a closer look at the unit to make sure I have my information correct. The name on the boiler says "National Standard Boiler Co. of Wallingford, Connecticut." There is a steel tag on the boiler body that says "MFG SERIAL 8236844" and below that is "STD 8236844". The tag on the jacket says CR/142. There is a National Standard sticker on the jacket too. If it's any help, the blower is a Beckett RWB type. Hopefully, this gives a little more information. If anyone can give me any information or product numbers for a firebox for this unit, I'd appreciate it.

I have an old boiler with the name "Standard Boiler Co." on it. This company was bought out by Burnham Boiler Co. years ago. When they were bought out, Burnham changed all of the Standard Boiler Co. part numbers to Burnham part numbers. My trouble is that now I have a crack in my ceramic firebox and need to replace it. My boiler has the part number Standard Boiler Co. CR/142. Can anyone tell me what the equivalent Burnham part number is? If you can get that, could you also tell me the equivalent part number for the firebox that I need? Thanks in advance!
  • Old Boiler

If you are referring to our aauiring American Standard Boiler back in the early 1970's, there really are no boilers that had that Model number. The closest thing would have been The Burnham Jubilee FR-142. If yours says Standard Heater then it was made by Standard Heater from Jersey City, NJ and we have nothing to do with that company. Either way, there are aftermarket companies such as Lynn Products and Rex Roto that make combustion chambers for these obsolete boilers. Hope this helps.

The boiler you have there has been out of the business for many, many years and there are no sources for original parts. Companies such as Ltnn Products and Rex Roto still make chambers for many of these older boilers.
