    Steam: Why 1 cph?

    Why is it recommended that a stat controlling a steam system be set for 1 cycle per hour?

    Because so many steam systems have been meddled with since the Dead Men did their thing. In fact, many old steam systems, after venting adequately and balancing the radiators, work wonders at near three cycles an hour.
