a post on icynene sprayed or poured under a radiant slab instead of 2" high density foam. Has anyone done this or heard of it?

    Not practical

Foam is sprayed on the walls, not under the slab. R10 blue or pink board is used.

Icynene would be possable sprayed from below under a staple up radiant system but it is way to soft for under a slab. It's also open cell so it would hold moisture under a slab.

    Nope...

Icynene does not have the compressive strength, AFIAK. You'll have to look at XPS, a.k.a. Dowfoam, I think. That stuff is tough and won't hold water the way that Polyurethanes (open- or closed-cell) will.

The only application I seem to recall of polyurethanes in contact with soil was the Canadian floor insulation study that featured polyurethane en-cased in metal containers. That's the famous study that exposed the actual efficiency of foil-coated bubble-wrap when used in foundation applications.
