Cold start steam, Mains vs radiators(which is quicker)

Steamhead (in transit)

is the effect of the main vents levelling the playing field. Before, some rads would heat more quickly than others. Now, each rad has equal access to the steam, so all can heat up at the same rate.

Just installed Gorton #2's on main and they purged nicely.
It seems though, the radiators took 2-3 times longer to heat up across the sections.
I have Hoffman adjustable vents on Rads, 1A's I think.
Now granted, mains are insulated, and radiators constanly giving up their heat, but do Gorton Radiator vents purge faster or is it a mass and tempeture compensation equation?

I think you answered
Your own Q'? Mains are insulated, and radiators constanly giving up their heat, Sensiable heat here is going to take a moment. If it all works in just two or three minutes, you "Got Heat"0
