I really appreciate the opinions and the info! With regards to the Lp companies, I’ve heard many different experiences. And it does seem to hold true to being a regionally sensitive. What else I’ve heard is much of what HotRod has said, buy big tanks and fill in summer. As so many people are converts, oil tanks are seemingly readily available also! I recently questioned a propane supplier as to whether they would fill someone’s tank that is not “theirs”. They said they would, but only with a tank inspection. With above ground tanks, I’m sure it is somewhat straight forward. But might be quality limit. Buried, not so much. Large tanks are to be anchored by cement, as they are bouyant, require a sacrificial anode bag, not to mention the buried line. Not sure how much an “inspection” costs, but for buried, I’ve heard they will at some point require a partial dig up to check tank condition. This certainly prohibits shopping around. Still owning does seem the way to go to get best price
