I have a burnham independence boiler one pipe steam unit that serviced for yearly checkup.
Tech recc a new thermocouple because unit was just over 6 years old to avoid emergency
callbacks. Agreed and thermocouple was installed now nice calm blue pilot light replaced by noisy gurgling blue yellow pilot light.
I do not like the sound tgat comes from the bolier now. During the process of cleaning heat
EXCHANGE tubes the tech burned a wire coming from the pilot assembly and fixed it by using an electrical wire nut. Could thus ve causing the problem? I AM quite upset with technician and I want a new red wire.
Why all these gurgling spitting sounds with new thermocouple? I wish I never, agreed to change it.
