It's heating time again. After taking off the summer season to forget about my 1-pipe steam boiler system, it's now time to pick it back up again. It's still not working as it should, taking an hour and 15 minutes for the entire system to heat up all 16 radiators fully across - while 3 get hot fully across in 24 minutes, 7 in 30-38 minutes, 2 in 44 minutes, 3 in an hour, and 1 in an hour and 15 minutes. But first a question. I'd like to hear from any of you who can tell me an existing system you have operating and how long it takes for the system to heat all the radiators all the way across? Not what it should take, but how long it is actually taking. I'd also like to know how long it takes those systems from a start to how long it takes to build to 1# of pressure. My system takes 1-hour. The boiler shuts off, but then the pressure drops to 0.5# in one minute and the boiler starts up again. I'd like to hear some comparisons. Thanks, Mickey
