Hi guys, I live in Shrewsbury MA. Smb on this site recommended you for service on a Weil McLain GV90+4 gas boiler which is probably incorrectly sized, and/or incorrectly installed. It works (it has worked for about 5 yrs) but it has a few problems:
    1. Its burn cycles are short (about 1 minute). During this time it raises the water temperature from 160 to 180 degrees.
    2. Gas does not ignite on the first try except if the boiler is already hot. The igniter is only powered for 20-25 seconds rather than 35-40 which I heard is the norm.
    3. The temperature of water in the tank drops to 100F if there is no demand for heat for a long time. It is just a bit below 160 during heating.
    4. I replaced the igniter and burner cone less than a year ago. The burner was rusty and blackened towards the igniter and the igniter looked quite charred as well. After the replacement problem 2. disappeared for a few of months but it is back now a bit over half a year after the replacement.
