Main piping diameter question???

There are charts somewhere on this site, but just use the formula pi x radius squared to get the cross sectional area, and multiply that times 12 (in) and then times the number of feet, then divide by 1728 to get the volume in cubic feet.

    I have some large size mains in my house, (converted to apartments) and am tring to figure the capacities.
    Where can I find the capacity of different diameter piping?
    I have some that appear to be 5" or 6" accross maybe 8". All help willbe accepted. Tahnks
