Downsizing a boiler

in THE MAIN WALL
We had PS&G size and install a new boiler. We were planning an addition so they factored that in. We had archetictural drawing at the time, but apparently they thought we wanted to hear our neighbot's house as well. The end result is a very oversized boiler. One plumber has offered to remove one of the burners and plug the hole. He seems good. Should I go for it?

    That would be like taking one piston out of an engine to save gas. The liability to him and the safety of you and yours is not an option. Unless the MANUFACTURER has recommended procedures for downsizing, DON"T DO IT !!!!

    AL is correct.

    ANY downsizing or (De rating) of equipment MUST be approved by the manufacturer or say By-By to any implied warranties.:-) Consult them and you may be surprised as to their answers. If they can help you, they will.
