be in there for a separation of non barrier tube from the boiler. Basically an indirect is just a heat exchanger.

They are often used in systems that have very small "micro" zones to help ease boiler cycling.

    Is there any big advantage to using a indirect off of a boiler to feed several zones of radiant. I saw an instalation today with two superstores side by side one for domestic hw and one for 4 zones of radiant. My boss says that this is done all the time to boost capacity and to cut back on boiler cycling..looks like a lot of extra hardware to me..any thoughts?

    Sounds like one is used as a buffer tank. It adds mass to the system and reduces short cycling of a oversized boiler or a boiler short cycling on a warm day.
