How much sheetrock above boiler for fireproofing?

I thought I remember 5/8" board extending up to 7ft past the boiler's edge? Need not be greenboard I assume.

Normally
5/8" Type X is prescribed. I am not familiar with how far it must extend, but one layer gives I believe 15 minutes protection. Two layers both sides on a metal stud wall is a 2 hour assembly. The efficacy of these assemblies are in UL standards and are more of an architectural area of expertise.0 -
My copy
of NFPA 31 is at the shop . I believe Nassau County and the towns in it follow that book . I'll check it out Monday and also see if local codes supercede .0
