for most of those pre finished flooring products to be sealed on all 4 sides. It sure does help if ever they get wet!

I used an Anderson brand in my in-laws. It was completely submerged one spring, for reasons we won't get into. Not even a raised grain. I believe the sealed on all sides finish is what saved my butt :) Plus the radiant heat below to quickly dry the floor.

    Wood Flooring

A Contractor gave me a house plan to work up, and the finished flooring spec called for 3/4" hardwood planks from a company that had a film or coating on the underside. They guaranteed compatability with radiant heating and no distortion. I don't know the mfg's name(he's going to get it for me), but, has anyone heard of such a wood flooring? It's not engineered flooring, but real harwood, pre-finished flooring.

    thanks, Hot Rod

I don't keep up enough on this stuff, but clearly the "whole house" concept is advancing nicely, so it seems.
