Toridheet Boilers

Wondering if the Toridheet company still makes a furnace?
Also where to find the serial # or btu s of a Toridheet Boiler?
And what year might this one be, it is minty green and is about 3 feet tall and 18" wide and about 3 feet deep?

    Long gone!

    They produced a oil-fired rotary burner and a full line of appliances, boilers, furnaces and water heaters. Went out of business in the 1960's.

    That seems odd that they went out of bus. in the60's this house was built in "72" Must have gotten a real good deal:)

    It actually is still running fine as a natural gas boiler.....still would like to find out what BTU it is??

    There should be a name plate somewhere

    that has the BTU ratings on it.

    merged at some point with Fluid Heat.

    Don't know exactly when since most of my books don't have chronologies. I know all of these companies went down in the 1960's. You would not be the first person to have heating appliance in your home that was 'new-old stock', FACT!

    After a merger with Fluid Heat they then became a division of Anchor Post Products. All of these companies where in the Cleveland, Lorain, Elyria Ohio area.

    There are a lot of ways to identify the unit and I suggest you have a qualified person do it. Hope this helps.

    I do have many sizing books on the Toridheat line, but a model number is required to use them, sorry!
