Additional Radiators, Gravity Hot Water

I'm adding two new radiators on the 2nd story to my gravity hot water system.

Is it okay to step down from the black threaded pipe (2") to 3/4" copper?

I'd like to use the copper but worry about pressure, cleanliness, and balance.

Having no experience, I ask for yours. Thanks in advance

    If still operating under gravity...

...be VERY careful, buy archaic heating books, study and learn YOUR system INTIMATELY!!! If this sounds daunting try to find heating contractor in your area who understands gravity systems.

    Why are you adding radiators?

IF you can find old takeoffs in the system that have been plugged/capped AND you can make runs to the radiators using "dead men" standards you should be OK.
