    Ive got a honeywell T87 thermostat thats giving me problems, the customer sets it at 82 but it reading 56, also sometimes it wont come on at all. Ive replaced it once, its level and the anticipator is set at .2, any suggestions would be real helpful!

    On the level.

    Make sure the level you're using is not a plumbers type with the pitch per foot integrated into an off level design. Boy wouldn't that be embarassing. Inquiring minds want to know. What is this used on? What is the stat located near that could be affecting it's sensing of the room temperature? Is there a computer CRT sitting on a desk just beneath the t-stat?

    Sub base

    Did you replace the sub base when you replaced the stat? The Heat and Cool subbases ( I forgot the number) are known to have the little switching ballls corrode and give odd problems. Is the hole in the wall plugged where the wires come out? What is the actual amp draw? Did you measure it and then set the anticipator?
