Boiler, buffer, ZCP, dual fuel (hr)

This plug and play system will fit in a 28" wide space. A small 6 gallon buffer will feed the ZCP in this location, although this isn't the correct ZCP for the job. An air handler stand organizes the components and is adjustable.


I will leave the element in the hw tank for summer use of a small radiant bathroom, (slab on grade) zone allowing them the ability to use the small buffer as a heat sourse and not fire, and short cycle the boiler, for the small floor warming load. The electric could also be a standby in the event of a boiler break down.

The electric tank is well insulated, 2" foam and fiberglass. I found a anode rod in the top which I removed to allow an extra connection. 1" copper by 3/4" mip adapters allow a quick jump in size.

Again I will try to run a 40 degree delta t on the boiler, maybe post purge the boiler heat into the buffer at the end of every boiler cycle. Waiting for a Taco post purge extension to use for this.
