Hello everyone,
I am a stationary engineer in one of landmark buildings in the city of Chicago. The building is heated with low pressure steam (vacuum assisted). We have two Smith 28HE cast iron sectional boilers.

Our management decided to bring Runwise wireless boiler control, sensor network and software platform "to operate our heating systems better" and "green" our building. Apparently it is a massive hit in New York City. Are any of you dealing with this system and could you share your experiences/advices with me?

Thank you in advance!

I never heard of it but am not in NY. Some of the wireless stuff isn't reliable due to electronic interferrence. I would be interested to look it up online and see what it is.

Well, I looked and there is not any "meat" in that brochure except their supposed energy savings.

    I would be cautious.

My brother is a stationary engineer in MA for the last 47 years.

Maybe some of the NY guys will chime in @JohnNY

Formerly called Heat Watch. Changed names a couple of years ago.

They spend a fortune lobbying governments, so I'd consider them more a political organization than an energy one.

Their website is very vague, no case studies, just marketing.
    Thank you!
