Preparation/post procedure for geothermal zone valve replacement

Replacing the taco zone valve, hopefully just the innards looks straightforward. What is not clear is what other than shutting down power is needed to do before starting replacement. Is this not something a new to geothermal person should do? None of the videos I see say much about purging lines or pressurizing etc. but most are in regards to boilers.

    This is on the water side I assume. 
    Yes, shut off the power. 
    There should be isolation valves on the inlet and outlet pipes so close them and drain so you can solder. 
    If it's an open loop system then no purging is necessary. 
    Closed loop you have to purge.

    It's the same as working on a boiler system. usually 12-15 psi. I am sure there is a drain valve or gauge port you can put a gauge on and find the pressure before you start working.

    I assume there may be antifreeze in the system you may have to deal with that
