Once again, I'm a walking cautionary tale. A new hire at Gateway Plumbing decided a piece of 2"x 48" steel pipe might make for a fun javelin. So, he threw it through the back doors of one of the service vans while I was standing at the side sliding door. The pipe went through the van out the side door and cracked my head open.
Let's remember that just as much as it is our job to teach them mechanical skills, it's up to us to teach them how to work with other people around.

Are sure you don’t have a concussion? This is the third time you posted this!

All joking aside, hope you’re ok.

Some people just don't belong on a job site or in any kind of industrial setting.

You just HAVE to be a tuff guy to get away wearing blue frames! At least you have someone to blame; I have done that to myself several times.

A contractor friend once opined, "Our company slogan should be We Hire the Unhirable."

I'm glad you're alive, John, and I hope the lad learned a lesson.

I would have fired him on the spot. It's bad enough that through the years I have maimed myself and I don;t need and idiot to maim me.

    "Hire the unhirable" LOL

The last company I worked for the service dept were known as the "Misfits". A sad collection of technicians that had worked their way through every other company in the area.

In truth they were as good as anyone else, but the name stuck

Not true. You can fix it but I think the host dies most of the time. I'd try using a hammer, if that doesn't work, it's probably an electrical problem
You can have it good, fast or cheap. Pick two

That's never happened to me. All my wounds are self-inflicted.
    8.33 lbs./gal. x 60 min./hr. x 20°ΔT = 10,000 BTU's/hour

Two btu per sq ft for degree difference for a slab
