Steam trap ID

Hello hope all is well with everyone. I have to replace the steam trap element in my home and can't seem to find a match. Lookes through states supply company to match didn't see any.
The only body I.d. I see it says hsc. The element it self has 2 ears on top and 3 disks inside. Would love just a element replacement  to avoid some reducing.

Wire brush the top and sides and you should see a model number.
Maybe Hoffman Supply (or Specialty) Company.

As folks have said -- that's a Hoffman trap. Might be an 8, but if you can clean off the top you'll have a shot at reading the model. Tunstall will have a replacement element in stock, if you can give them the pictures.

I think @Jamie Hall and @My570 are correct- it looks like a #8 to me.

Great thx for replies.  It's an 8 bc its 1/2". So I guess there's a few issues with this system.  There is a loop in basement behind a wall that my late father in law showed me years ago.  Whats more amazing is this is a 2 pipe system w air valves.  I always though you don't use vents on 2 pipe systems. I also noticed that if I keep thermostat at 73 the radiator gets warm only on top half. This is w no trap as well.
Turned therm up to 89 and finally whole thing got hot. The vent was spitting very little. Possibly vent wasn't working. I'm going to replace it but do I need it?

If he has an air vent on the rad and a water loop in the basement is a trap needed?
Could he leave the element out??

If the "loop" is a Hoffman Differential Loop, this is a Vapor system and the only air vent should be in the basement. The radiators should not have vents on them.

All the radiators have air vents.  Almost positive there is no air vent in basement. Where would it go on? Return before boiler? Also what valve should be used

The only vent on a Hofman system would be on the dry returns where they join, just above the Hofmann Differential Loop. Then there must be crossover vents from the steam mains to the dry returns. And no air vents on the radiators.

Then keep your pressure below 7 OUNCES per square inch.

I'm located Bronx ny. I'm going to poke around tomorrow but everything is covered by sheet rock etc.

Bronx? You have several very good options. @JohnNY I know works up there, and is excellent. I'm not sure, but I think @Danny Scully may work in that area too. They can get the system straight -- but having everything covered with sheetrock is not going to help at all.

Lol yes I know about the sheet rock. I'd love to get this system fully functional the way intended but I have to weigh my options. It's not like I don't get heat I do just not a lot.  Thanks for all the info
