One Pipe Vacuum System

I just bought a house and noticed that there is a Hoffman No 16 vacuum valve on the main but the radiators have newer conventional air vents. Is it possible to convert the original vacuum system to a non-vacuum system with no loss of efficiency of do I need to buy all new vacuum vents for the radiators?

If it is a one pipe system, it is very unlikely it was ever a Vacuum system.jrinaldi72 said:I just bought a house and noticed that there is a Hoffman No 16 vacuum valve on the main but the radiators have newer conventional air vents.
