Steamer Installation

This was an oil to gas conversion and the oil boiler looked liked it hadn’t been serviced in years from just looking inside the combustion chamber.
This is Richardson System that was botched over the years, we tried our best to bring it back to it glory.
Some of the radiators still has the original Richardson return elbows. The sunrads that’s where installed along with the copper and steel finned baseboard was most likely done 30+ years ago and they had no return elbows nor any traps.
So we ripped out the baseboard installed cast iron radiator that we had in stock that needed to be gone to make room at the shop and installed new valves with traps on the sunrads and new radiators that we installed.
We also had replaced a decent amount of copper piping on the steam mains.
Need to go back to do skimming and wanding.
The Shur Stop Fire extinguishers will be added to our collection of unique Things we come across.

Thanks for an outstanding job Ezzy.

Ezzy did some beautiful work and was a wealth of knowledge. After doing the boiler on a single pipe system in our first house with a "not a steam guy" plumber ten years ago and THEN finding this site and Dan's books and learning all about single pipe, Ezzy did a great job bringing me up to speed quickly on the two pipe system in the new house!

Great work and very easy and helpful to work with. The many recommendations on this board don't lie!

@nicholas bonham-carter the filter itself isn’t installed yet just the housing but it is a Caleffi in-line demineralize filter unit.

I've had the privilege of watching @EzzyT at work. Not only is the finished job beautiful -- in all senses -- but the working itself is a joy to watch.
