Recommendations for adjustable convector vents.

We are starting to work on a large 95 unit building that is mostly one pipe steam. Most of the heating units are cast iron convectors and so far all we have seen is Armstrong main vents installed in the 3/4 inch tappings of the convectors. These vents are probably equal to a Gorton D, so way, way, way too big. I would like to find something like the Ventrite 1A adjustable vents. The best I have come up with so far is the Maid o Mist convector vents which supposedly have changeable orifices like their right angle vents. We also have some Armstrong 3/4 vents that have replaceable orifices, but only come with a big one.

Just use the ventrite 1a with a nipple and 90, or a street ell and 90 like this...

Yea, That's one way to attack the problem. Would still only need to keep only a couple vent types in stock too.

Hoffman has such a vent, the 1B, which you can get with 1/8" or 1/4" threads.

Yep, I thought of those, but I suspect they are a lot like the Hofmann 1A.... You can set 2 of them to 3 and get wildly different venting rates.
