Ray Kroc would roll over in his grave. I went into a McDonalds yesterday. First time in years i actually walked in one. The choice of where to sit came down to the least dirty of the tables. And whats up with this kiosk thing? I'm not touching something a hundred other skevy people have touched..don't they see how unsanitary it is in a place where you eat food which your fingers? Am i just to old?

Go to Japan. Even the McDonalds there are squeaky clean, unlike those in the States.

You can still order at the register. If you use the kiosk they bring your food to you. I haven't eaten there much in the last 10 years

Done that Frank- i was embarrassed about the condition of America when i was in Japan. Cleanest country on the planet. I also seem to remember that if there was a square inch of dirt they planted a flower in it :) truly an impressive country. Its no wonder they thought the rest of the world to be barbarians.

A couple of my children have worked at McDonalds and have related the horror stories of the people they had to work with: drug users and dealers who were getting high on the job, sexual harassment, foul mouths, bad attitudes, dirty life styles, etc. I never eat there.

Chick-fil-a is right across the street and is literally the exact opposite. Nice clean people and great attitudes, good food and a clean place.

One night, I asked my wife to bring me some chicken strips from Chick-fil-a as she was headed home. She stopped at the Greasy Mac's across the street because our daughter was working there and brought me a pack of the nuggets. They were horrible! After about two bites, I had to throw them in the trash because even the dog wouldn't touch them!

At one time, Mac's was noted for being clean even though the food wasn't good.

That would be a long trip for a Big Mac! 😂

A customer of mine owned 4 McDonalds around the area, they were always well staffed and clean. I think it has more to do with management than brand?

Send a complaint or concerns to corporate.

Can't eat in any of those places. I used to service those restaurants. Most of those places I have been to have the ugliest kitchens. Grease build up, utensils piled high, prepared food next to dirty dishes. The tables are always questionable. McDonalds is just one of many.

I'm not a fan of McDonalds either. And I expect we'll see more of those kiosks and mobile ordering in years to come, for better or worse. I've heard that McDonalds locations overseas have even more tech than the US locations. They also have a delivery service in some countries. Their CEO has said that people tend to linger longer at the kiosks and this leads to them ordering more food.

It's all about the management on site. I tend to stay away from fast food ........but when your in a hurry........

Some are clean and sum are disgusting. I would definitely report it.

Unemployment is low, some kids don't want to work and the fast food industry is hurting for help.

I agree with paying there employees better=better food and better service....if managed right

    Metric is better.

    I worked there when I was 16.

    The fish were from Gordon's.
The 1/10 patties were grade D if I recall.

As with any franchise, some will be better than others. It's all about the management. But when we all know minimum wage is buying minimum skill and some are trying to make a career out of a minimum wage job with minimum wage skills and demand $15/hr for it, corporate makes a wise business decision and replaces those whiny dirtbags with a computer. Problem solved. Not a lot of people want to work anymore, and those that do certainly aren't going to get out of bed every morning and lace up their shoes for minimum wage right? They have bills to pay! It's nearly impossible to explain supply and demand to someone with a chip on their shoulder, and such is life. With that said, I love McDonald's food. And pretty much anything else fast food for that matter, except Chipotle and Chick-Fil-A; both are disgusting and overpriced IMO. Regardless of the franchise, all are going to have grubby stores somewhere. Imagine your favorite restaurant- the kitchen is disgusting in there, I guarantee it. Worked in the restaurant equipment business for several years in my younger days and remain close with the owner of one of the largest restaurant equipment dealers in the US; while the visible part may be clean, that kitchen is gross.

The chain I worked for the owners owned a McDonald's distribution company too so they were making money off other chains

Chick-fil-A is one of the best I've been to for fast food. Always clean and the employees are all happy? Total chaos of kids and people though.

I've been to clean McD's and nasty ones. It seems that ALL burger kings are realllly nasty though. Every one I've ever been to.

McD's in the middle east was top notch, complete with armed guards at the door. Was the best burger and fries I've had to date at a fast food place. May have been cooked in olive oil there though, main export so I assume it would be cheap there.

In my starving student days, we would eat a lot at "Broncho Burgers". They had the cheapest hamburgers....less than McDonalds.
One day after getting our 3 burgers each (they were pretty small) we were at the condiment bar to build up the sandwich.
A girl at the bar went to the window and proclaimed loudly
"I want you to know that your tomatoes have worms in them"
They offered to replace her burger, but she refused and left.
As she said that there were maybe 5 of us at the condiments,
everyone just opened their burgers and threw the tomatoes away......we all continued to eat there in the days following...but always checked the tomatoes.

Great observation Gerry ,I personally never eat fast food and rarely eat anything that I haven’t cooked but I will say that I have been to Europe and Brazil n they both have mc Donald both seemed very clean yet very empty .i can’t remenber the one in Germany but the ones in Brazil where empty and as my wife stated who in Brazil could afford a burger n fries when for 1/2 or 1/4 of the same money u could get a real meal rice beans n some real meat . I have personally gone hungry then stopped and eaten in any fast food chain in so long as I remenber just can’t support something thats no good n feeds on the lowest of income sectors n sell junk that can’t be that good for you ,you be better off eating pb n j I do .i think in a lot of ways if u stand true to your beliefs no matter what they are you are at least being true full to yourself and at the end of the day that’s what matters Peace and good luck clammy
