I especially like the floor-to-ceiling one. I doubt the kitchen is ever cold either.

    With the same materials? Impossible. The woods that went into these house are extinct, the techniques used to build them no longer exist, and codes have moved on since then. Most of the houses near us are sheathed in 1" thick by 12" by 12' white chestnut planks, foundation to roof. No way to get stuff like that anymore.

    Gorgeous! I see all of the radiators but I can't figure out if this is steam heat why do they have all of the cast iron hot air grates? Later conversion to hot air done really well to blend in?
