CG400 tied to an old MM Feeder, glitch

Hey all i'm perplexed, changed a boiler today, told the gentleman i would connect to the existing old school 24v feeder.
I set up a relay and a trans, in order to separate the lwco from the old feeder- I don't want the boiler sending power to the old dog.
Inside the CG400 I grabbed 2 and A for the relay. It's a RIB, I love the tiny light bulb.
The issue is the lwco won't drop out the A when the water level has been met/re-filled. The light on the CG400 does indeed go out, but the RIB light stays on (getting power from A) and the boiler overfills by a large margin.
Thanks for any tips. I did the same thing a few years ago--I didn't really any glitches. Although, that job 3 years ago was a 110v feeder, and this one is a 24v feeder. That doesn't matter anyway, it's still a RIB on both jobs.

Don't know. Hydrolevel says not to use a solenoid type feeder why I don't know. Plus you have it isolated it with a RIB. Seems like it should work.
Just thinking out loud your 24 v comes from 2 common and A hot to the coil of the RIB which would be yellow/white common and blue/white hot. I am sure you have the black/white coil wire taped up.
The 1 leg of your 24v runs through yellow and orange contacts to the feeder.
I am sure it would be worth a phone call to Hydrolevel.

Yes to all of that, RIBs are the bees knees. I don’t remember the wire coloring very well (yes I have two wires capped off independently). But I’m quite positive it’s wired properly. I’ll give Hydrolevel a buzz tomorrow unless anyone else can chime in0

It'll never work that way. Problem is, probe LWCOs have a delay when they sense water after a low-water shutdown, to verify that the water isn't going away. Also, when you power up a probe LWCO, it self-tests, which energizes the feeder terminal.
There are two solutions:
1- install a delay-on relay between the LWCO and the feeder, setting the delay for at least 30 seconds, or
2- replace the feeder with a VXT.
I prefer the latter, because the VXT has the digital display that tells how many times it has fed water. All Steamed Up, Inc.

Ok but it’s the overfill that’s getting me.0

That's what's causing the overfill. You need to delay the feeder coming on to avoid it.All Steamed Up, Inc.
