Quick feedwater pump pressure question

I don’t have my books in front of me right now. What was the rule of thumb for feedwater pump discharge pressure for high pressure steam?

I’m working on a rental high pressure steam boiler in a trailer. I can see it is filling the boiler way too quickly. As soon as the pump comes on the water level drops as the steam bubbles collapse. I’m going to add a pressure gauge to the discharge so I can throttle it but I forgot what the rule of thumb pressure was.

    Scratch that, I found it. 50 psi and below, 5 psi above boiler set point.
