Just looked at a boiler replacement n I’m just starching my head Roughly 2800 sq ft home old hydrothermal 134 Mbtu input 117 out nothing weird but here’s where it gets weird right at the boiler reduced to 3/4 both s n r n all 3 zones are 1/2 aquastat set at about 200 degrees. Oh yeah no pump relay just a 10 ft on baseboard mounted on the wall behind the boiler aside from the stats opening zones there’s no pump relay n end switches are wired to nothing. The circ operates by a switch n run constant boiler cycles on temp constantly What crap Thinking of installing a turbo max 24 and setting it up to maintain n just pull heat from the turbo max Maintain the turbo max at 200 n let the heat pull out of the tank What’s your thoughts I have only seen one other system w baseboard simalar to this of course its bout a 5 miles away. The other job I had to completely redo ho could not take the ghosting stain on the walls the only difference is that ones aquastat was set to like 215 n heat didn’t cut it at 190 so it was a total repipe w new baseboard Must have been the same guy Can’t make this junk up what’s the thoughts on using a turbo as a buffer n just maintain peace and good luck clammy

Wow- talk about "redneck engineering"........... not even a bypass for the circulator to prevent dead-heading.
I have seen 1/2" baseboard work, but the loop lengths have to be extremely short since a 1/2" pipe can only deliver roughly half the load of a 3/4" pipe.
How about posting some pics? All Steamed Up, Inc.

Reminds me of a job we found, a plumber couldn't figure out a System 2000 so he ripped all the controls, etc off saying they were NG and stuck a 8182D in the top and put in Taco 555's.0

They did have a sort of by pass the baseboard hung behind the boiler no zone valve so as soon the switch was on the pump just runs the boiler cycles n that piece of baseboard cooks When a zone valve opens it get heat. Great set upR.A. Calmbacher L.L.C. HVAC
