Was gonna say that @Dan Holohan has mentioned Mr. King many times in his books.

One of my favorite books is (although a lot newer) 1964 ASHRAE it has a ton of info in it not like the modern ASHRAE stuff. Most of that type of information...doesn't change

    Ray,

I do believe I have that book also. My collection goes back to around 1895.

We service a lot of old buildings and these books are often needed to sort stuff out.

    I have that one too!!
ABE or Bookfinder.com are good places to look, these types of books are often cheap there. Shipping is very reasonable too.

I had lots of Audel books. They were a big influence on me when I was learning how to write. I was so happy to be able to pass all those old books on to Erin. I know they're in very good hands.

Thanks for putting them in the Library. It is handy to look up stuff in books I do not have.
I just used the Beacon Boiler stuff this week. Beacon has some that are not in the Hydronic Ratings Book.

Kevin, there's another series of rating books called Pape Swift. These have boiler ratings that are not in the other two you mention. Erin now has these as well.

I wonder what life was like back then when these old books were written. The industry was much different than it is today. Even when @Dan Holohan wrote the first Lost Art, there was no computer, internet, word processor. Research was through old books, library, telephone calls, and shoe leather. Kudos to you Dan

Was working in a Victorian mansion in Philly recently. The owner said anything you find that is not cash is yours. I found this book in the boiler room. I think it might be similar to yours. My version is in perfect condition and loaded with explanations of piped systems, steam traps, radiators, and other attached devices. Published in 1939.
    Just do it, right.

Picked these up for $20 a few months ago. Not quite as old. 1962 edition. There was a 1925 set available as well.
    Never stop learning.
