Gas heated boiler system

I have a 4 bedroom house that is divided into for sectors. Each sector has its each thermostat. My question is, can a digital thermostat be installed so I can better determine temp? Two sectors are not being used at the moment and would like to turn the heat off. Can anyone help? Thank you

A digital thermostat should work anywhere a non digital thermostat is.
Why can't you turn off the heat with the existing thermostat?
What is boiler heating? Baseboards? Radiators? Air handlers? Does your boiler have zone valves or multiple circulator pumps? Take some pictures, it would make it easier to determine what is going on.0 -
The answer to your query requires an assumption of various aspects. It will be good to know which system you are using such as gas water heating or electric. Yes, a digital thermostat can be installed to keep track of the temperature. If you don’t require heat in other two sectors, then you can turn them off. Not sure what’s keeping you from doing that.

Check and see if there are any water pipes, which might freeze in the zones you wish to turn off.
Most thermostats will go down to a 50 deg. setting.—NBC0
