Fuel savings

I have a customer that I will be installing A 2 pipe homerun radiator system, with a indirect heater....I will be using viega fostapex to homerun to and from each radiator a total of 19.... the customer does not want a modcon, he wants a cast iron boiler . He also would like some savings and use ODR. My question is what is the best way to go about this?.....I was thinking of using a Tekmar 356 to provide full ODR because it has boiler protection .... if I use the 256 I believe it doesn't provide protection to the boiler and will only provide partial reset... or should I use a 4 way iseries? Thoughts?.... is this a good setup? Boiler will be a Crown CWD.... there will be 2 zones plus priority zone.... TRVs are not in the budget either is a buffer.... and would I benefit in using a ecm pump for the heating zones? And am I over complicating this? Thanks

The Burnham esc I think is the name has built in boiler protection to receive 110 degree water if I recall.

I think it is also 60k btu on the small one. I considered it but it was double oversized for me.

Thanks @Leon82 but I already filed the job and the model of the boiler is already in the approved plans so I'm committed to this boiler...and I don't want to change the boiler because the customer will do 2 weeks of research before I get a answer to use the boiler.... I know the Crown does have the ODR feature as a add on .... but wouldn't that just be partial reset?

A tekmar 260 would be a good match. I have that on my 115 Buderus w/ HR panel rads. 60 gallon SSU indirect.

Trv not in budget.....fuel mizer wouldn't protect boiler with full reset

What exactly are we defining as "boiler protection" here? Regardless of whether the system is using full or partial reset, I would think one would need more than simply a boiler return temperature sensor.

What is the buildings heat load. How much radiation and what is the net output of the boiler?

That control is not going to give you the 'boiler protection' that you think, as @Paul S alluded to. You're better off piping in the protection with a mixing valve (3way, 4 way, ESBE, etc.). My experience is that trying to rely on the sensor actually causes short cycling, so much so with oil, that I turned it off, added the above mentioned protection, and put in a buffer tank (6 zones, 4 radiant, 2 of those micro zones). Now I can do full reset.
This is my house, with about 10 years of experimenting with controls and components and piping designs.
Had I known then, what I learned mostly here, I would've went with one circ , trv’s.
