Thanks, everyone! Seven of us spent 22 hours in the waiting room while she labored.

A grandchild certainly makes me think about my future and the choices I make. Highly recommended!

    Congratulations grand children are great.
I have two grandsons one 5 months and one 4 months
Both daughters were pregnant at the same time. Little boys will grow up together and should be best friends forever.
    Enjoy your grand child.

I have two daughters. I never wished for a boy, or a girl of my own. Only that they would be healthy. However having a grandson......oh yeah.
  • They say you love your kids, but fall in love with your grandkids. I think I'm getting the feeling.

He will help you sleep nights, because he will wear you out...and you get to send him home nights. All good! Congratulations! Some of the best days of your life coming up..

I agree, it is different somehow. My grandson and I have a special bond and I can't imagine life without him.

I have 13 of them Alan. And the first great grand daughter just a few weeks ago!
My kids didn't mess around. ;)

They are so much fun there should be a way to have the grandkids first!!!

Congtratulations Gramps. Get ready for some of the best times of your life. As Steve said, and I've often seen quoted on bumper stickers, "If I'd have known having grand kids was this much fun, I'd have had them first!" To which my kids always groan "Yeah, right dad...." Seriously, they will wrap you around their finger in a heart beat. Enjoy!

It's not so much a case of "You got what you paid for", as it is a matter of "You DIDN'T get what you DIDN'T pay for, and you're NOT going to get what you thought you were in the way of comfort". Borrowed from Heatboy.
