oil to gas conversion coming up, existing system is an oil fired steam boiler with a tankless coil. I would like to use an indirect with a brazed plated heat exchanger. I have done these multiple times before but a few times before I had a call back due too the brazed plated heat exchanger clogging up on the boiler side. should i pipe a Dirtmag before the heat exchanger....would you guys use a storage tank with a tankless coil instead?? or another type of heat exchanger. Everhot? I cant seem to find a distributor for them. i want to provide the most reliable system i can....thanks

I would not do the BP HX for the reasons you mentioned... and the added cost.
I would get a good quality coil type Indirect and pump through that. Passages are wide open.
It will have to be a version that is Non Ferrous....
Superstor Ultra or Superstor Pro are two options.

    A Megastor would be great.
As to the dirt mag... That is going to need a lot of maintenance.
I think you would be better off spending the money on a 3 pc. circulator like a Taco series 110 or a B&G series 100. They can handle the harsh environment of all that muddy water.
Some would even suggest a bronze version of those but that is huge $$.
