The theory was the unclaimed funds would be split among all that filed at the end of the time period. At one point near the end several hundred million dollars was unclaimed!

Attorneys for the case were frantically calling contractors to get more homeowners to file near the end of the time period. Maybe they got paid on the % of claims filed :)

I had visions of tens if not hundreds of thousands of $$ landing in my lap?

Oh well back to the lottery.

The only ones that come out ahead in a class action suit are the lawyers, everybody else gets pennies.

Unless I had 20,000 square feet of radiant in my home and got in on the 10- 20 bucks a sq settlement number.

Imagine the massive snowmelt that many of the ski resorts owned the may have applied at the end. Vail keeps track of their snow melted streets in acres not square feet.

I had about 35 square feet in my bathroom.

The remaining money after all the claims were paid is what got split, after I got the $3500.00.

Welllllll............you didn't mention that little tidbit.

    $3500. isn't exactly chump change.
true, but it is under a $5,000.00 tile floor, shower and tile walls. At least that was the cost of the mud/tile job 20 years ago.
