Manifold support

When installing slab-on-grade tubing, we usually have to drive some rebar into the ground and strap on some plywood to mount our manifolds. This works fine, but I'm interested in how others do it.
8.33 lbs./gal. x 60 min./hr. x 20°ΔT = 10,000 BTU's/hour

Two btu per sq ft for degree difference for a slab

I had a bunch of Unistrut that I welded pipe onto. Drive them into the ground and mount the manifold nice and solid. Cut off flush with the concrete, after the pour, if a wall is to be build behind the manifold.

On large shop projects I generally used copper tube type manifolds from Watts, Sioux Chief or Alberta T-Drill. Regular strut clamps fit the tube.

Have you ever tried PEX-Pal's? See the attached pictures.

My most recent. I was not responsible for the insulation. The builder and the homeowner overruled me.

It was the first time working with that builder. He agreed to use 2" XPS going forward.

The aluminum will react w the concrete pour. Not a good idea. R-10? Not.

I agree. Their one saving grace is that it's 8' below grade.

Doing a pour today and took some pictures on Friday. Here we used construction adhesive to glue the PEX-Pal's to the grade beam.
