    Now the pump replacer has a good space!
    And the electrician has a well grounded reference point for his armpits. Should not harm any electronics with static discharge from him or his tools.

    There was not an on off switch on the pump. What to do?

    At least they put isolation valves so you can service the pump, and the zone valve with out draining the system. Or another way to stop circulation if the zone valve is stuck open. Genius......

    what's wrong with this set-up ? The guy just prefers zone valves to flow control valves. I see an on off switch for each zone. He's probably controlling the pump relays with the end switch and the boiler is either hot or reset.

    No need for all those pumps once you have zone valves. A single ECM circ could handle the flow and probably knock 80% off the electric usage, not to mention 2-4 hours less installation time.

    Yeah, add the power consumption of those PSC motor pumps and the 1.2A each ZVs. One could almost heat the home with the electricity consumed by those assemblies.
