Hope I'm wrong but I can't see this staying civil very long. Opinions are heated on mod/con vs CI ! :)

I am 100% positive it can stay civil as long as Dan bans you from this section. :)

On a serious note, opinions are heated on almost every subject.
I challenge anyone to name a subject that they are not.

    That's ok Dan.
I never expected Robert to be banned from anywhere, I've already got my life jacket on because there's gonna be waves. :)

The way I see it, political "conversations" are rarely conversations. They are usually just an avenue for one to proselytize to the other by means of insult, judgement, and ego hoping to convert the other. I've yet to see a conversion though.

    Erin, your optimism is noble.

There is no such thing as political views and facts.
No matter what you believe you can find information that swings to ur liking on the internet.

Back to the task on hand.

I say that CI and Modcons have there places.
it really just depends on what the house emitters are and how much extra they have. Also if they want to add Radaint or lower temp zones.

I'm with Tommy on this one with one exception...I dont think (personal) anyone over the age of 60 should have a mod/con boiler installed in their house... Most older folks (most not all!!) dont understand the concept.

I disagree, I don't believe age to be the constraint. Some people think that turning the thermostat up higher makes the heat come up faster. I think most people can't wrap their heads around ODR.

Right and if you turn it down lower it gets colder faster. It's the same as pressing the button in the elevator more than once.

Or clicking a computer mouse over and over again because it will sense your impatience and speed up......
