Radiant in a 10A zone?

I'm researching hydronic radiant floor heating as I would like to use this in my remodel. Considering the relatively mild climate we have in San Francisco, what would be the recommended solution for a modern new construction style home? The home has two apartments in it and will have separate heating sources. Each unit to be about 2000 sqft. Lower unit will have a 500 sqft MBR that is slab on grade. Upper unit will be on floors 3 and 4 so distance to garage based boiler needs to be considered.

Is Warmboard overkill for this light application? Based on the light duty, are non aluminium clad alternatives like Sunboard or Roth Panels appropriate?

SunBoard is always an alternative to WarmBoard my friend .

Warmboard is never overkill since 8" spacing will require lower water temps , but that's what we want .
You didn't get what you didn't pay for and it will never be what you thought it would .
