Common Venting High Efficiency Boilers

Options
I am installing two Utica SSC Boilers, has anyone had any experience common venting high efficiency boilers? Has anyone had any problems with the special check valves for this purpose? Utica tells me that I can do this.
Thanks, Bob Gagnon

I did not think that common venting was allowed w/ CAT IV(4)appliances.
If it was it would sure help me in a few applications.

Bob, you can common vent the SSC boiler. The venting must be done entirely in polypropylene. You may use PVC for the intake. An important consideration is the amount of room you have available above the boiler as the check valve can use up to 2 feet of that space vertically.

I've attached the check valve kit instructions. You will need 1 check valve kit for each boiler. Also, if you intend on cascading these boilers together, don't forget the System sensor kit.

In Canada, the new B149.1-15 will allow common venting but needs to meet clause 8.10.6
