can anyone identify this steam trap?

in Strictly Steam
see attached photo of steam trap. main body of trap has "B251" on it. smaller part has "M251". otherwise no info, except "horizontal" and a line. can somebody identify this trap? thanks!

    Is anything stamped or cast into the cap at the top right of the smaller part?

    Are there any other traps in this system, for example radiator traps that have not been completely replaced, that do have names on them? Or any original radiator shutoffs? If you see a logo rather than a name, post pics of that- we might recognize it.

    I will look. Might be a few days til I am back in the building. Looks like all the traps were replaced with the same one at some point. Every heated area has a Modine steam unit with trap. 13 in all, I think.

    Sorry didn't see this before.

    Looks like a Cashin 251. We would have an air vent and cover for this part number 3597 & 3597C but no mechanism unfortunately. Could easily be replaced with a H type trap for future upgrades. If you have one you can send we can install a new air vent and test it.

    Nice find. Didn't Grinnell take over Cashin, or vice-versa? I'm pretty sure I've seen the Thermoflex name used on Grinnell equipment...................

    Thanks! I see a date of 1955 in the photos - so this is likely a 1950's steam trap?

    Hi Charles if you are referring to the price bulletin, I'm not sure the date corresponds to your trap, but it's safe to assume it's around that vintage
