It seems to recognize the benefits of radiant heating, but uses the less efficient (and green) form of electric radiant, compensating for that by trying to direct the radiant towards the occupants.

I think it a fallacy to blame energy waste on heating momentarily unoccupied spaces, when the real culprit is heating badly insulated spaces.--NBC

    I think that some at MIT have far too much time on their hands with nothing to do. Then, when lobbyists from the energy consortiums division of the Wall Street Crime Syndicate come knocking with wheelbarrows full of cash, they are only too happy to oblige with a nice common sense (to them) ideas on how to spend THOUSANDS to save dimes.

    Next, it will be shower heads with LED modules to pinpoint water spray on the human body. Warm water on the parts that a computer decides need to be warmed, cooler water on the other parts.

    But then, if anyone has seen that building that MIT built that you would think was designed by a drunkun' sailor, you'd understand.



    We who work and hopefully compete to get paid for our craft, understand that it might look beautiful on a plan, but it will never be mass built because there aren't enough vomit bags in a box case to cover the prospective owners when they get the price.

    Common sense isn't a monetary value. Whatever happened to the concept that the smaller the space, the cheaper it is to heat it?

    What is the name of the Energy Company that the lobbyist works for?

    WAIT, WAIT" They'll end up by putting electric heat strips in the HVAC ductwork.

    And then some wonder why MIT is the most expensive US University to go to.
