pipe unions flow requirements

we had a argument at work today that pipe unions have no flow requirements and I said they do.. Does anyone have written proof that there is a flow requirement? Thanks jeff

I've never seen
a code requirement on them -- all the ones I've seen have been full port -- full pipe diameter -- so the water or whatever wouldn't even know they are there, seems to me.Br. Jamie, osb
