Beckett Outside Air Kit, Will it cause problems with cold air?

I am thinking I may have a lack of air in my utility room. This is starting to look like a safe way to ensure I have plenty of air for combustion and not have to worry as much. But I am concerned that the room air is always around 70* and outside air temps will change wildly during the year even in heating season.



Will this cause an issue, I mean I can have the burner setup when its installed but that's only at that time.

    short answer no

    a properly set up system will handle the temp change fine. keep in mind the kit also gives you a min and max pipe run. 4" pipe is something like 15' min, 41' max, 90's count as 7'. a room short on combustion air causes sooting issues, wasted fuel and can possibly pull exhaust from draft regulator back into room. do you know the btu rating of your boiler? take btu rating multiply by 1000 then divide by 50 you"ll get the cubic foot (LxWxH) of free air needed for boiler to run correctly. keep in mind anything in the room takes away from that total you come up with.
