taco radiant mixing block

I want to know if using a taco radiant mixing block would work for boiler protection.

Looking at an atmospheric gas boiler and single zone heating with indirect water heater.  Would like to set system for outdoor reset and also give boiler protection.

The mixing block appears to give what i need with minimal piping.

Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions.

    Mixing Block:

The Taco "I" series 4 way mixer will do it better, protect the boiler with adjustable settings, and give you ODR, all in one fitting. Its what you are looking for.

I hate being redundant but it will really work well.

Just connect the system side with its own circulator to one side of the 4-way, and connect the boiler loop
