Logamatic on Conversion Burner....

When installing a conversion burner on a Buderus boiler that uses a 2105/07 where do you cut in the wiring for the spill switch? Typically they are 24v.... there is more than one lead in on the low voltage side..... ty,kpc

    I haven't used that burner

    but I believe the control system on that boiler simply sends 120 volts to the burner to start it. The thermostat connects elsewhere, correct?



    If the Riello has 24-volt thermostat terminals on it that would normally be jumped out, you can wire the blocked-flue switch to these- after removing the jumper of course.

    There is no place in the low voltage terminals to "cut into". Look at page 43.



    You could either remove the jumper between terminals 2 and 3 on the "flue gas" terminals or the jumper between 17 and 18 on the "safety limit", but these are 120v terminals. This would require a relay, but I would break the circuit at the "T T" terminals on the ignition control of the burner.



    Remember, the 2107 is NOT an "on demand" control: it's a reset control. Therefore, you would have to jumper "T T" on the ignition control anyway.

    This is...

    a 2105... no reset. just priority to hot water and a summer winter setting. It has separate hook ups to the DHW and heat>I can splice the spill switch into one not both...right?  I am thinking I need relay to the line voltage. There is no TT on a riello....like the Carlin

    suggested wire the spill switch across T T if you look at the Field Wiring Diagram for the Riello 400 it shows TT tied to the 24 volt relay or you could break into the V1 V2 wires with the spill switch also.

    They sure do make 120, 240 even

    Fields model FTS-6 will do 120 v
